Software Engineer

Job Description
Loren Cook Company has an immediate opening in its engineering department for an experienced Software Engineer. This position involves creation, implementation and maintenance of published applications. Duties may also include SQL database design and maintenance.

Qualified candidates should have a technical degree and be proficient in Visual Studio.NET with a strong database background. Candidates must be team oriented with strong interpersonal skills and possess the ability to work independently and cooperatively. Candidates must also be analytical and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Minimum 3 years of software development preferred.

Systems Administrator

Responsibilities include the management, installation, configuration and maintenance of the network infrastructure and server environments. The Systems Administrator is responsible for maintaining the day to day IT operations efficiently. In addition, they will ensure proper backup and disaster recovery capabilities and implement continuous improvement with the IT environment.

Qualified candidate will have a BS in Computer Science or related field and 2+ years experience in systems administration. Knowledge of Nimble storage or other San solution, Microsoft Hyper-V and/or Vmware ESX, Cisco or HP Procurve switch configuration, and Microsoft Exchange Email systems is a plus.

Customer Service Representative / Application Engineer

Job Description
We are seeking a customer service oriented individual with a strong mechanical/electrical background to ensure that our customers receive the highest level of service in our industry. Internal duties include communicating with Sales on the status of orders, with Engineering and Production on meeting product specifications and revisions, and Shipping to ensure that orders are delivered on schedule. This position is the primary contact for our manufacturer’s representatives to assist in interpreting specifications and cross referencing other manufacturer’s products to develop job quotes and the administration of orders after they are entered into production.

A degree in engineering or industrial technology is preferred, but a comparable background with HVAC experience would be considered with extensive experience in motor controls and building management systems. Working with TL and LTL carriers is a plus. Must be detail oriented with excellent communication and problem solving skills.

Second Shift Production Employees

Must be proficient with tape measures and hand and power tools. Ability to read blueprints is required. Second shift hours are 4:00 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Mon-Fri.

IT Support Intern

Internship opportunity with our IT Support team. Job duties include working with the following technologies: Nimble Storage SAN, Microsoft Hyper-V clustering, network cabling, router and switch configuration, PC support and deployment as well as Windows server administration. This paid position requires previous IT support experience or education. Flexible daytime hours based around school schedule to average 20-25 hours per week.
